Emilia Plasencia Fernández

Emilia Plasencia Fernández is a GIS expert and a specialist in environmental assessment of projects. She graduated in Geography from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and has a Master in GIS from CIBERNOS CONSULTING.

During her professional career, Mrs. Plasencia has held several management positions on Environmental Assessment and GIS. She has also acquired vast experience over more than 15 years in the electrical engineering environment.  

She has knowledge and experience in Environmental Processing proposal-writing, implementation and monitoring; Environmental Impact Assessments; Landscape Integration Studies; Infrastructure Plans; inventories, cartographic production, multicriteria spatial analysis for decision-making, results summary and alternative determination.

Mrs. Plasencia joined the Department of Geography at the UCM, in the subject area of Regional Geographical Analysis, as an Adjunct Professor in 2008, and she currently teaches different courses in the Degree in Geography and Spatial Planning.
