• Plant interactions and main ecological strategies of plants in Mediterranean high-mountain environments
• Climate change: plant community responses to changing rainfall and temperature patterns
• Recent climate change: historical trends in species' responses (specimen-based studies in herbarium), effects on biogeography, and biome evolution
