The Nodo CLARIAH-CM took part in the 2nd edition of the IEEE International Conference on Cyber Humanities, held from 7th to 9th of September in San Servolo, Venice.

The conference brings together international experts to discuss the application of digital technologies to the Social Sciences and Humanities, with a particular focus on infrastructure, cultural heritage, and the management and preservation of digital resources.

Elena Battaner Moro (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos), a member of CLARIAH-CM, presented the paper ‘Language Metadata and Epistemic Reliability in SSH Research Infrastructures’. The paper analyses the role played by language metadata in digital research infrastructures and explores how differences in the description and representation of languages can affect the discovery, interpretation and reuse of research resources.

Participation in IEEE-CH 2026 helps to showcase the research areas being developed at CLARIAH-CM on multilingualism, metadata and digital infrastructures for the humanities, and to strengthen its connection with the international debate on the quality and reliability of data in research infrastructures.
