The LREC 2026 conference, organised by the ELRA Language Resources Association, aims to bring together researchers and professionals specialising in Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics, with a focus on the evaluation and development of resources that support work in these fields. At its fifteenth edition, participants had the opportunity to discuss and present their research findings in these areas through oral presentations and poster sessions, as well as in the various workshops and tutorials held on 11, 12 and 16 May.

On 11 May, the workshop “LLMs4SSH: Shaping multilingual, multimodal AI for social sciences & humanities”, where researcher Raquel Lázaro Gutiérrez (UAH), together with her colleagues Daniel López Padilla, Jorge Rico, María José Vilella Sánchez and Fernando Manuel Espinoza-Cuadros, presented the paper entitled “Design and methodological architecture of a multilingual corpus of interpreter-mediated public service telephone interactions”. Furthermore, on 16 May, during the “PressMint 1st Workshop on Creating Interoperable Corpora of Historical Newspapers”, researchers Elena Battaner Moro (URJC), Dolores Romero López and María Cuevas Riaño (UCM and coordinators of the CLARIAH-CM Node) presented a poster entitled “PressMint QuickCheck: Operationalising Readiness Diagnostics for Interoperable Historical Newspaper Corpora”. The Node’s participation in this event, one of the most important and prestigious in its field, consolidates CLARIAH-CM’s presence within the Digital Humanities and Computational Linguistics research ecosystem. The attendance to the congress reaffirms its commitment to creating open, interoperable and accessible resources, enhancing the visibility of research talent from Madrid’s public universities on the international stage.
