The 5th CLARIAH-ES Workshop has been established as a key forum for discussion and networking within the infrastructure. The event brought together representatives from the regional nodes at the University Institute for Textual Analysis and Applications (IATEXT) at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with the aim of coordinating efforts and defining the immediate future of research in the Humanities and Social Sciences within the framework of European infrastructures.

The meeting’s agenda stood out for its focus on strategic coordination and discussion of new funding milestones and projects, such as PressMint. During the conference, specific meetings were held to address technical issues relating to the infrastructure, working groups, ongoing or planned projects, and upcoming calls for proposals. This joint effort has enabled the definition of short-term priority objectives, without neglecting the long-term challenges that the network must begin to plan for and implement.

The event coincided with a key development for the infrastructure ecosystem: the award of €1 million in funding for the CLARIAH-CAT node. This significant financial boost not only strengthens the network’s operational capacity but also validates the project’s relevance and robustness at a national level.

Dolores Romero and Elena Battaner attended as representatives of the CLARIAH-CM Node and presented the Node’s activities and future challenges, taking part in the meetings of the working groups of which they are members. Thanks to this active participation, the Madrid Node has cemented its position as a fully established regional node within the overall structure of CLARIAH-ES.
