CLARIAH-CM at HDH 2025

CLARIAH-CM in the 7th International Congress of the Sociedad Internacional de Humanidades Digitales Hispánicas (HDH)

CLARIAH-CM participated in the 7th International Congress of the Sociedad Internacional de Humanidades Digitales Hispánicas (HDH), which took place in Valencia from 22 to 24 October. The Node played a leading role throughout the main activities of the conference, which included presentations and active participation in roundtables. The Node showcased research on digital art preservation, distant reading, and AI-driven text analysis, and topics ranging from ethical responsibilities in digital libraries to AI-assisted transcription of historical texts. More importantly, members of CLARIAH-ES obtained three awards, namely:

-Best Scientific Article (2024). It was awarded to Dolores Romero López, Mª Jesús Fraga, and José Calvo-Tello for the article “Autoría e identidad de género. Perspectivas cruzadas a propósito de El pensionado de Santa Casilda.”
- Best Tool, Resource, or Infrastructure (2024). The award to CLARIAH-ES was accepted by German Rigau.
- Best Training Initiative (2024). The M.A. Máster de Formación Permanente en Lenguaje e Inteligencia Artificial (LeIA), offered by Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and which is centred on Language and Artificial Intelligence, was accepted by Manuel Alcántara Pla.

The participation and distinctions of CLARIAH-ES and CLARIAH-CM Node confirm their leadership and key role in the current global framework of European Digital Infrastructures and Digital Humanities.
