Ana Tello

Research technician - PhD student

My scientific interest is focused on the study of arthropod vectors, especially diptera with public health importance.

My work is focused on the monitoring of arthropod vector populations in the Community of Madrid. At present, the main objectives of this work are: monitoring of phlebotomine sandfly populations, entomological surveillance of Aedes albopictus and entomological surveillance within the West Nile Fever Surveillance Plan.

Currently, my PhD thesis aims to develop scientific grounds for the improvement of disease vector monitoring programs, in order to contribute to the optimization of surveillance systems for these animals.
