A group paper contribution, among the top 10 most-downloaded on Biomaterials Science

The paper “Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles for the Design of Smart Delivery Nanodevices”, authors: Montserrat Colilla, Blanca González y María Vallet-Regí, from the GIBI-UCM research group, is in the top 10 most-downloaded Biomaterials Science papers from April to June 2016. This review article describes recent advances in systems based on mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNP) for applications in nanomedicine. Specifically, this review pays special attention to the possible combination of MSNP, molecular nanogates sensitive to stimuli and magnetic nanoparticles, as well as the current scientific challenges to accelerate the transition from the laboratory bench to clinical application.
