INFRASTRUCTURES

Since this Doctoral Program, as well as the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, are inter-faculty, the facilities of the five Centers are available. These have a wide infrastructure for the development of the research of the doctoral students who are being trained in them. In addition to the laboratories, there are classrooms, computer and information technology classrooms, wired and wireless networks, libraries and archives that are part of the UCM network. There are also numerous  rooms for lectures, presentation of results, work meetings and doctoral thesis defenses.

Below is a list with access to detailed information about:

RESEARCH SUPPORT SERVICES

It should also be noted, since this is a PhD Programme based on the development of an experimental research activity, that UCM has a remarkable network of Research Support Centers (CAI) described in https://www.ucm.es/cais/ (Research Support Centers-UCM). In addition, the services of the Madrid Science Park (http://www.fpcm.es/) are also available.

SPECIFIC INVESTMENTS AND HUMAN RESOURCES FROM THE FACULTY OF CHEMICAL SCIENCES

Given that the Faculty of Chemical Sciences is the administrative headquarters of the Doctoral Program, information is included on the budgetary investment made, as well as on the administrative and service personnel who make the teaching of the degrees possible. This information is included in the following documents (corresponding to the academic year 2022-23).

MOBILITY OF DOCTORAL STUDENTS

In relation to the ease of mobility of doctoral students, the availability of external resources and travel grants to attend conferences, as well as training stays abroad or in other centers, is ample and diverse. Some research groups have their own funds,  but there are also research projects and contracts with different financing channels, such as mobility grants associated with the student's scholarship or contract in the case of Ministry programs (FPI or FPU), programs financed by the Autonomous Communities and by the European Union. Information on scholarships and pre-doctoral contracts can be obtained at http://www.ucm.es/becas-ayudas or at https://www.ucm.es/servicio-de-investigacion.
