Access requirements and Admission

Access requirements

The bases for access and admission to doctoral studies are governed by the provisions of Articles 6 and 7 of Royal Decree 99/2011 (modified by RD576/2023), as well as Article 7 of the Regulations for the development of RD 99/2011, which regulates doctoral studies at the UCM published in the BOUC on December 12, 2012 [Regulations for the development of RD 99-2011].

You need to hold the official Spanish title of Bachelor, or equivalent, and the University Master's degree or equivalent, having passed at least 300 ECTS credits summing up both studies or titles. Application for admission

The application for admission will be carried out through this online platform. To access the platform you will need to enter an email address. Any communication from UCM will be done through this email address.

  • If you have an @ucm email account, log in with your data, as usual.
  • If you do not have a UCM e-mail address, enter your external e-mail address in Username:
    • When you press Enter, the system will send you a password to this e-mail address.
    • You will have to use as Username your e-mail address, and as Password the one you will have received.

The student must provide the certificates proving that he/she meets the general requirements of the call. The documentation must be provided in digital format (.jpg or .pdf file) when accessing the online platform.

In addition, the documents supporting the merits presented (curriculum vitae, researcher's endorsement, and other documents confirming the merits claimed) must be provided.

A single application must be completed indicating the programs in which you are interested (maximum 3), and the centre in case the program is shared by several Schools.
