The call for applications to the PhD programme of the Faculty of Sciences at Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy) for the academic year 2026-27 is now open: https://www.sns.it/en/phd-admission-competition (see also the attached call for applications in Italian and English).

Candidates interested in pursuing a research project in the field of gravitational waves are strongly encouraged to apply for the PhD in Physics, for which seven fully funded four-year positions are available.

The application deadline is February 19, 2026, at 11:59 CET, and submissions must be completed online. 

Please note that at least one of the seven positions is reserved for applicants who obtained their MS (or equivalent) degree from a non-Italian university. Applications from international students are particularly welcome.
