Postdoctoral Position with the CMS-Madrid Group

The Universidad Autónoma de Madrid High Energy Physics group at the CERN Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research position.
The UAM-CMS group has carried out important responsibilities in the framework of CMS L1 Trigger project (Drift Tubes Track-Finder muon trigger). Currently the group collaborates in the design and development of the Phase 2 DT backend trigger. Recent physics activities include top quark and electroweak diboson analyses, exploiting the discovery opportunities offered by the LHC.
The successful candidate is expected to play a leading role in the ongoing development activities of the Phase 2 DT backend trigger and in the physics analysis effort. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in experimental particle physics, excellent software development and data analysis skills, and the ability to carry out a research program.
The post is based at UAM (Madrid). The contract will have an initial duration of one year, renewable until the end of 2020. The salary will be decided depending on the experience and qualification of the successful candidate.
