The University of Luxembourg has the following vacancy in its Mathematics Research Unit (research group of Prof. N. Poncin):

Ph.D. position (14 months, extendable to up to a total of 3-4 years - financed by the NRF Luxembourg - competitive salary)

Research field: Supergeometry and mathematical physics 

Description: The project will be focused on refined versions of (multi)graded geometry and supergeometry in particular. Analogues of algebraic groups, homogeneous spaces, fiber bundles with connections and additional constructions, as well as constructions motivated by physics will be developed. We expect new insight, which multiple gradings give about known constructions in supersymmetry, as well as new geometries and physical models, possibly including in some cases the treatment of quantization in this context.

Selection criteria: scientific quality and full compatibility with the research topic

Supervisors: Norbert Poncin (Luxembourg) and Zoran Skoda (Zagreb)

Starting date: Spring 2017
