El próximo martes 30 de noviembre a las 16h, el profesor Noam Shoval impartirá la conferencia "Tracking 3.0: Measuring the Tourist Gaze"

El profesor Noam Shoval, director del Centro de Innovación Urbana de la Universidad Hebrea de Jerusalem, impartirá la conferencia "Tracking 3.0: Measuring the Tourist Gaze" el próximo martes 30 de noviembre a las 16h en el Salón de Actos de la Facultad de Geografía e Historia. Por motivos de control de aforo, la conferencia sólo estará abierta a los profesores y estudiantes de los programas de máster y doctorado del Departamento de Geografía de la UCM.

La conferencia será impartida en inglés.

Acerca de Noam Shoval:

Noam Shoval is Professor at the Department of Geography, Director of the Center for Urban Innovation and Provost of the Rothberg International School, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He completed his PhD at HUJ under the supervision of the late Prof. Arie Shachar and conducted post-doctoral research at the University of London (2000–2001). He was an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the University of Heidelberg (2007-2008) and spent an academic year (2014-2015) as a visiting professor at the Center for Urban and Social Research at the University of Pittsburgh. Over the years he published five books and over one hundred twenty other scientific publications. Professor Noam Shoval is an expert in urban geography and planning, urban tourism and the development and implementation of advanced tracking technologies useful in urban studies, tourism and medicine. Internationally, he is a sought-after consultant and collaborator on research projects in the areas of tourist time-space activities, urban tourism planning, and aging and cognitive decline of patients. Professor Shoval’s impact has been global, including policy and planning in Spain, Hong Kong, Israel, Germany, Denmark, Italy, and China.
