Intellectual Women: Dissatisfied Modernities is an international seminar included in the activities of the international network NEWW (New approaches to European Women’s Writing; cf. www.womenwriters.nl), which, in order to renew literary historiography from a gender and a transnational perspective, has already celebrated several seminars and conferences, as:

Intellectual Women:Dissatisfied Modernities will be held at Complutense University of Madrid (www.ucm.es) in November 2014, from the 13th to 14th, and it will take place at Faculty of Arts (Building A), in the Campus of Ciudad Universitaria.

Proposals for contributions will be welcome in English. The reception will be open until the 15th June 2014, and later, these proposals will be evaluated by a Scientific Committee composed by:

The Committee will give an answer about accepted and not accepted papers before June the 30th.
The organizers are keen to include contributions about current research projects from postgraduates at all stages of their research, from PhD students to postdoctoral researchers, on the aspects listed in our call for papers.
Contributions should be 20 minutes long.
