My main scientific interest is the study, conservation and scientific communication of animals.
I am particularly interested in animal behaviour or evolutive ecology in mammals and birds.
I carried out studies analyzing the role of olfaction in passeriform birds in National Museum of
Natural Sciences. First, I studied the relative importance of both types of predators´ signals,
chemical and visual cues signals, in the assessment of predation risk by blue tits (Cyanistes
caeruleus). Later, I analyze the role of olfaction in social relationship in birds, specifically, the
capability of house sparrows (Passer domesticus) to assess quality of rival males by olfaction.
As part of my Doctoral Thesis, I aim to delve into ecological, behavioural and conservation
implications in the use of artificial food sources by White stork (Ciconia ciconia).
