|  My primary research line focuses on the Genetics of arthropods of agronomic and conservation interest.I started my activity in the conservation of the native freshwater crayfish through population studies using molecular and morphometric markers.
I have participated in the development of molecular methods for the detection of insecticide resistance to prevent and minimize agricultural and economic losses caused by arthropod pests.
I have been an Expert in the Evaluation of Phytosanitary Products and a Scientific Advisor for the Registration of Phytosanitary Products at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
I have worked with the pharmaceutical industry identifying species of mites that produce allergens using molecular techniques and developing quality control systems in industrial crops.
I am currently implementing molecular biology techniques to study the role of wild pollinators in agriculture and the effects of insecticides on them.
I also participate in other projects related to food safety and the development of allergen detection methods.
