26 SEP 2016 - 20:08 CET

The Eupillar Project on the practice of cross-border litigation in the EU in family law matters and civil and commercial matters finalizes after two years of investigations developed in six Member states of the European Union (United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Poland and Spain).

The national conclusions of the research will be compiled on a joint publication which will also include contributions on the effectiveness of cross-border litigation in other European countries. In this task have participated as associated partners Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden.

The book, edited in English by the British partners and coordinators of the Eupillar Project at Aberdeen University, will be published at the end of 2016. In addition, a database that comprises the analysis of more than 2.000 national cases will be also edited in English by November 2016. The database will include the jurisprudence of the six partners of the Eupillar project and will provide an open access to legal practitioners and general public.
