David Hernández-Gutiérrez studied Psychology in the Complutense University of Madrid and specialized in Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Science (2013).  During these years he started to collaborate as a student assistant in the Cognitive Neuroscience group of the Center for Evolution and Human Behavior.

Afterwards he started a Master in Neuroscience following a Cognitive Neuroscience specialization. He continued his collaboration with the same group carrying out a Master Thesis focused on the discourse peculiarities of the linguistic processing by using the event-related potentials (ERPs) technique (2014).

In 2015 he got a FPI PhD fellowship advised by Prof. Dr. Manuel Martín-Loeches and Prof.Dr. Francisco Muñoz Muñoz.  His interests cover the study of how face perception could modulate the semantic and syntactic processing. His project includes the study of the possible effects that beauty, facial emotional expressions, or authority can impose over the comprehension of language within a Cognitive and Social Neuroscience framework.
