Mario Fernández P.

My name is Mario Fernández-Prieto. I am currently pursuing my PhD in English Linguistics at Complutense University of Madrid.  My research is focused on the effects of a CLIL approach in French (L2) on the syntactic and lexical complexity secondary students’ written texts in English (L3). Prior to that, I obtained an MA in Applied Linguistics (UCM).

I am working as an EFL secondary teacher and I have also worked as a Language Assistant in France.

My main areas of interest are Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, CLIL and Computational Linguistics. I have presented my work at the LIEMC’18 in Dublin and stayed at the Faculty of Education Cambridge University for three months.
