Estrella Trincado Aznar

Trincado Aznar EstrellaTenured professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. PhD in Economics and with a degree both in Economics and in Philosophy, she is currently Vice-president of the European Society for the History of Economic Thought (ESHET) and an elected member of the Executive Committee. In the last term, she was a member of the ESHET Council. She received the ESHET History of Economic Analysis Award 2005 and the ESHET Young Scholar of the Year Prize 2011. Estrella Trincado has acted as an organizer of the ESHET Conference 2018. Editor of the Iberian Journal of the History of Economic Thought, she coordinates a Master in the History of Economic thought in the Complutense University and has organized a Spanish MOOC in the History of Economic Thought. She has been elected an advisor for the Spanish Association of Economic History (AEHE). Estrella Trincado is a member of the commission for the Doctorate in Economics of the Complutense University of Madrid. She has been Visiting Scholar of the Department of Economics at Harvard University (sponsor Stephen Marglin) and visiting staff at the Université Lumière Lyon 2 (Minerva). Her research interests are the history of ideas in developmental economics, the British Enlightenment economic thought, the heterodox economics, the Spanish history of economic thought, energy economics and the economics of uncertainty and time.

Licenciada en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales (1993) y en Filosofía (2006), se doctoró en Economía por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2003) y es Titular de Universidad. Tiene tres sexenios de investigación vivos en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales. Es Vice-Presidenta de la European Society for the History of Economic Thought. Dirige el Master propio de Pensamiento Económico y Empresarial, la revista UCM Iberian Journal of the History of Economic Thought y el grupo de Investigación Complutense de Historia del pensamiento económico, estos dos últimos junto a Luis Perdices. Es miembro de la comisión de doctorado en Economía de la UCM. Ha coordinado proyectos de investigación sobre la importancia de las ideas en el desarrollo económico. Ha sido responsable de proyectos de innovación desde 2004 para crear un MOOC de historia del pensamiento económico. Ha sido elegida en dos ocasiones (2015-2021) consejera de la Asociación Española de Historia Económica (AEHE) y del Council (2018-2022) y Comité ejecutivo (2022-) de la European Society for the History of Economic Thought (ESHET) y obtuvo el History of Economic Analysis Award 2005 (ESHET) y el ESHET Young Scholar of the Year Prize 2011. Ha sido Visiting Scholar del Departamento de Economía de la Universidad de Harvard durante 6 meses (sponsor Stephen Marglin) y profesora de la Université Lumière Lyon 2 (2019).
