Licenciado en Economía (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, UAM, 1999) y Doctor por el Dpto. de Economía Internacional y Desarrollo (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, UCM, 2007), actualmente trabaja como Profesor Contratado Doctor en el Dpto. de Economía Aplicada, Estructura e Historia, donde se incorporó en 2019.
Anteriormente, fui profesor en diversas universidades en Madrid, John Jay College −City University of New York (EEUU, 2015), y la Universidad de Valladolid (Segovia, 2016−19).
He sido investigador visitante en la UAM –Xochimilco y Azcapotzalco (México), Kingston University (Londres), The New School y PACE University (Nueva York); y he recibido becas para realizar estancias de investigación en la UAM −Azcapotzalco (México), la Universidade Federal Fluminense (Río de Janeiro, Brasil), y la Universidad del Magdalena (Santa Marta, Colombia).
Entre julio y septiembre de 2023 realicé una estancia de investigación en el Institute for Research on World-Systems, de la University of California −Riverside (EEUU), bajo la dirección de Christopher Chase-Dunn: Relaciones centro-periferia y subdesarrollo. Controversias teóricas y evidencia empírica para América Latina (Becas del Amo, UCM).
Actualmente, trabajo en el análisis del subdesarrollo y las relaciones centro−periferia desde el enfoque marxista.

Bachelor's degree in Economics (Autonoma University of Madrid, UAM, 1999) and Ph.D. in the Dept. of International and Development Economics (Complutense University of Madrid, UCM, 2007), currently serving as an Associate Professor (Lecturer) in the Dept. of Applied Economics, Structure & History since 2019.
Previously, I taught at several universities in Madrid, John Jay College −City University of New York (US, 2015), and the University of Valladolid (Segovia, 2016−19).
I have been a visiting researcher at UAM–Xochimilco and Azcapotzalco (Mexico City), Kingston University (London), The New School, and PACE University (New York). I have also been awarded grants for research stays at UAM–Azcapotzalco (Mexico City), Universidade Federal Fluminense (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), and the University of Magdalena (Santa Marta, Colombia).
Between July and September 2023, I conducted a research stay at the Institute for Research on World-Systems at the University of California, Riverside (US), under the supervision of Christopher Chase-Dunn: Core–periphery relations and underdevelopment. Theoretical controversies and empirical evidence for Latin America (Becas del Amo scholarship, UCM)
I am currently working in the analysis of core−periphery relations and underdevelopment, from a Marxist approach.
