A group of professors from the UCM research team participated in the 3rd Ibero-American Congress on Chemical Engineering (CIBIQ 2025), held in Lisbon, Portugal, from September 8 to 10, 2025. During the event, they presented a poster titled “Closing the Gaps Between Stakeholders for Successful and Sustainable Urban Circular Construction Initiatives Through Co-Creation (CIRCOCREATION)”.
The poster highlighted the vital role of collaboration among diverse stakeholders — including academia, industry, policymakers, and local communities — in advancing circular economy initiatives in urban settings. The project highlights co-creation as a crucial strategy to overcome barriers that often slow down the adoption of sustainable construction practices.
