Mónica Cornejo Valle

 

PhD in Anthropology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Graduate in Philosophy and in Social Anthropology from Universidad de Deusto. Winner of 16th Marqués de Lozoya Prize (2007). Has been a professor at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha and at León XIII Social Institute (Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca). Currently she is Associate Professor at UCM, as well as Co-director of the Anthropology, Diversity and Integration Research Group, founding member of ARESIMA group (Anthropology of Religion and Spirituality, Madrid Anthropology Institute), member of Management Board of Network of Iberoamerican Anthropologists (AIBR), and member of editorial committee of the AIBR journal.

 

Lines of research: anthropology of religions, interreligious integration and diversity of faiths, spirituality and health, conversion and new spiritualities, cognitive-symbolic anthropology, and anthropological history, concepts and theories.
