Curriculum Vitae

My research lines integrate the fields of evolutionary biology, biogeography, behavioural ecology and conservation biology. During the last years, I have explored these areas using molecular techniques.

I have always been interested in bird migration in general, which I have approached from various perspectives. For example, I have studied the way in which diverse avian migration patterns influence bird-parasite interactions. As a consequence, I engaged in a detailed study on the implications of cryptic diversity in avian malaria parasites.
