The i-math 2008 spring semester on control and quantum information has among its objectives to promote the research on these subjects in Spain and to foster the interaction among physics and mathematics. Other activities along this period will be an Advanced Winter school on Quantum Control and Quantum Information Theory, seminars, Ph. D. courses, etc.

LAS MATEMÁTICAS DEL CONTROL Y LA TEORÍA DE LA INFORMACIÓN CUÁNTICAS

El “International Workshop on the Mathematical Foundations of Quantum Control and Quantum Information Theory” a celebrarse en Madrid en Mayo-Junio de 2008 se enmarca dentro del conjunto de actividades programadas en el semestre sobre “Las Matemáticas del control y la Teoría de la Información Cuánticas” del proyecto i-Math (Programa Consolider-Ingenio Matemáticas). Este programa pretende impulsar la investigación sobre las matemáticas de la teoría de la información, computación y comunicación cuánticas, centrándonos fundamentalmente, aunque no solo, en la teoría de control relacionada con ellas.
