International Workshop on the
MATHEMATICAL FOUNDATIONS OF QUANTUM
CONTROL AND QUANTUM INFORMATION THEORY

I-MATH SEMESTER ON CONTROL AND QUANTUM INFORMATION

The i-math 2008 spring semester on control and quantum information has among its objectives to promote the research on these subjects in Spain and to foster the interaction among physics and mathematics. Other activities along this period will be an Advanced Winter school on Quantum Control and Quantum Information Theory, seminars, Ph. D. courses, etc. Check the semester web page: www.qic.es.

The international workshop will take place under the auspices of the Ramón Areces foundation, whose fundamental aim is to promote science as well as education and culture in Spain. Other institutions and programmes contributing to the celebration of the event are the Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia of Spain, the Ingenio Mathematica (i-math) programme and SIMUMAT.
