El objetivo de la Licenciatura en Lingüística General es iniciar al alumno en la reflexión sobre el lenguaje a través de la diversidad y complejidad de las lenguas.
Presentamos en dos cursos las diferentes teorías lingüísticas contemporáneas, con sus presupuestos teóricos y metodológicos, y se pretende que el alumno alcance una actitud empírica de observación y descripción de diferentes fenómenos del sistema y uso de la lengua.
To study language ‘scientifically’ is, in part, to refuse to accept uncritically, or ‘unscientifically’, the ways of thinking that, ahead of any professional training, we all bring to it. We must strive to be as objective as we can, about individual languages and the nature of language in general. It is hard, but can be marvellously liberating”.
