Literatures: from Text to
Hypertext - International Seminar
The
Research Group Literaturas Españolas y Europeas del Texto al Hipertexto (LEETHI) from
Complutense University in Madrid and the Committee on Comparative Literature in the Digital
Age (CLDA) of the International Association of Comparative Literature (ICLA/AILC) announce
this International Seminar.
OBJECTIVES
1.
Value the impact of hypertext and hypermedia on Literary Studies.
2.
Prospectively evaluate the presence of literatures in the World Wide Web, analizing the
institutional structure of Gateways and Webpages.
3.
Study transfer relations among the different literatures propiciated by this new cybernetic
culture.
4.
Analize the influence of technology on the formation of culture and on individual and social
identities.

Porto Alegre, Brazil) Ziva Ben-Porat (University of Tel-Aviv, Israel), Gerald Gillespie
(Standfor University, USA), Steven Tötösy de Zepetnek (Halle, Germany and Boston, USA), Dirk Van
Hulle ( Antwerp University, Belgium), Alckmar dos Santos (Universidade da Santa Satarina,
Brazil).
2.- Round Tables:
The
Scientific Committee invites colleagues to submit proposals for individual papers, on the
diverse aspects within the proposed panels. A 20 line summary should be sent, together with the
Registration Form before March 31. The
Scientific Committee will then select some of the proposals and notify applicants who should
then send a printed copy (12 pages) of their paper before 30 May 2006.
Proposals should include full name, E-mail and postal address,
and professional affiliation.
