MEASUREMT
OF THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY
OF LIQUIDS BY THE HOT-WIRE TECHNIQUE
In addition to my main topic of research, Nonequilibrium
fluctuations, I also collaborate with Prof. Mohamed Khayet in the measurement of thermal
conductivity of liquids by the hot-wire technique. In this page I summarize some
of my contributions on this topic.
Presentations:
- "Measurement of the thermal conductivity of nanofluids by the hot-wire
technique". 22-Jul.-2009. Invited talk at the "1st International Meeting on Engineering Thermodynamics of
Fluids", organized by the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Tarragona,
Spain.
- "Thermal conductivity of nanofluids by a hot-wire technique".
25-Jun-2009. Contributed talk at the 17th Symposium of Thermophysical
Properties, organized by the NIST. Boulder, Colorado, USA.
- "Medida de la conductividad térmica de glicoles usando la
calorimetría de hilo caliente": 13-Sep-2005, oral presentation at the
Thermodynamics Symposium of the XXX Biannual Meeting of the Spanish Royal
Physical Society (RSEF). Ourense (Galicia - Spain).
