Overview

Wars and other armed conflicts are far to be over. That´s why they are are so important in world affairs journalism coverage. Even thou, journalists don´t seem to be well prepared to fulfill that duty. Officials in ministries, armies, international organizations or NGO´s also lack the proper preparation to deal successfully with such complicate situations.

During the last decade our Course has been offering that specific preparation, focusing mainly on International Relations, army and military matters, History, political studies, crisis communication strategies and of course war reporterism.

This Course is aimed at journalists, other social sciences graduates, military people and all those involved in international armed crisis.

We offer our long experience but specially a well balanced faculty in which mass communication, journalism and international relations university professors share their expertise and views with military men and professional journalists who had been deployed on a wide range of battle fronts.

Theory is well combined with practice. In that sense we take advantage of all the technical resources of Madrid Complutense University Facultad de Ciencias de la Información (Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication studies). Beside that we offer all our students a deep program of visits to military units, mass media facilities, international organizations, governments offices and NGO´s.

This web site is also an educational tool in which our students share with the defense community their practical works such as analytical papers, reports, communiques, conflict prospective, war journalism quality analysis and journalists´ security assess.

Even lectures are in Spanish language, we offer all our students weekly tutorial sessions and permanent e-mail assistance in English with some of our faculty members. Beside that we work with a wide range of the last and best bibliography and academic papers in English language.
