The Department
The Department of Quantitative Economics
(Fundamentos del Análisis Económico II, FAE II) is located in the Faculty
of Economics and Business (Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales) at the Somosaguas Campus of the
Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). The main facilities can be found in the Building #1 (Pabellón Prefabricado).
Members of the department teach courses in the areas of
Mathematics, Economic Theory, Econometrics and Statistics in the Economics (GECO), Business (GADE)
and Law and Business B.A degrees as well as in the Economics M.Sc. Degree.
The Department is also actively involved in
the Banking and Quantitative Finance Ph.D Program , conducted
jointly with the Universidad Castilla la Mancha, Universidad del País Vasco and Universidad de Valencia.
The Department organizes (jointly with FAE I and the Instituto Complutense de Análisis Económico, ICAE)
a regular research seminar on topics of Economic Analysis. The working papers
show the research interest of the members of the deparment.
