Matriculation

The fee is not refundable after payment.

Minimum age: 16 years.

The Course fees do not include any Health Insurance. Students from the EC are advised to come with the European Health Card for travel abroad.

Attendance is limited. Registration will be closed when full.

Scholarships awarded by various organisms do not entitle exemption from payment of the fees.

Students who require a provisional Certificate of Admission should send 12 euros and fill in the corresponding form.

This amount is not deductible from the total registration fees. Reservations for admission expire one day before commencement of the Course.

Forms of Payment:

If in Madrid the sum should be paid to the bank of Banco Santander Central Hispano, after collecting the appropriate form at the Secretariat.
If not in Madrid the sum should be paid by bank transfer to the name of Fundación General UCM (mentioning the name of the course) to the account number: 0049 2196 07 2414410694 at Banco Santander Central Hispano, and the receipt should be sent by fax (+34.913.945.336) to the Secretariat at the Centro Complutense para la Enseñanza del Español or by post.

Six photos and a photocopy of the passport are required upon registration.

Registration

You can register until the course is full.

Students Card

After registration each student will receive a student card which offers the same privileges as have Spanish students. These include the use of the faculty libraries and the use of all sports facilities within the University Campus.

Note:

These courses do not provide students with accommodation. The University owns a number of Residence Halls where participants in the Summer Courses can get accommodation. Those students who wish it, should request further information, so that they can personally make reservations in advance.

Exams

Exam fees are included in the matriculation fee. To obtain any of the certificates mentioned below, it is necessary to attend all classes and to pay 12 euros in the cases of the Diploma-Certificate of Spanish Language and the Diploma-Certificate of Spanish Language and Literature.

DIPLOMAS - CERTIFICATES

Fall, Winter and Spring Courses

Diploma-Certificate of the Spanish Language. At the end of the course, the student will take a test for each of the subjects (Spanish Grammar, Language Practicals, Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking skills). Those students who will pass these tests will obtain the Course Diploma Certificate.
Diploma-Certificate of Spanish Language and Culture. Students of Intermediate, Advanced and Superior levels can obtain this on passing the language subjects together with any three of the subjects given in the module of Spanish Culture.
Attendance Certificate. For those who have attended all classes but who have not taken or passed the exams. This Certificate is free.

All other Certificates or Transcripts, require the payment of the fees established by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Summer Courses

After examination students can obtain the following Certificates:

Diploma-Certificate of the Spanish Language. (General Course of Spanish Language and Culture).
Diploma-Certificate of the Spanish Language. (Intensive Courses of the Spanish Language I y II).
Diploma-Certificate of the Spanish Language. (Superior Course of Spanish Language and Culture).

At the end of the Superior Course of Spanish Language and Culture, students may take an exam in eight chosen subjects and obtain the corresponding Diploma with details. Students who do not pass all the subjects can obtain a Certificate detailing the subjects passed.

Furthermore, all students matriculated in any of the courses can obtain the credits corresponding to the subjects passed.
