Spanish Society for the Defense of the Geological and Mining Heritage.

In October 1995 was constitued the Sociedad Española para la Defensa del Patrimonio Geológico y Minero (Spanish Society for the Defense of the Geological and Mining Heritage), with the following objetives:

a) watch by the defense of the geological and mining-metallurgical patrimony,
b) elaboration of an inventory of the geological and mining interest points,
c) coordination of tasks of museum's promotion,
d) elaboration of didactic material, and
e) collaboration with other societies and institutions.

The Society intends to elaborate an internal Bulletin as mean of expression, with the hope that it would be converted into a magazine on the specialty.

The Congress will consist of five sections:
