BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS

Born 1957; Postdoctoral Research with Prof. P.J. Derrick at Warwick Institute for Mass Spectrometry, University of Warwick (Apr.1990 to Apr.1991); Assistant at Faculty of Chemistry, UCM (1987-1992); Associate Professor , Fac. of Chemistry, UCM (1992-2002; Prof. Titular, UCM (2002-present).

RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Capillary Liquid Chromatography. Development of new liquid chromatography techniques based on the use of microcolumns, and programmed temperature.
  • On-line Solid Phase Extraction coupled to Liquid Chromatography. Use of polymeric sorbents.
  • Monolithic columns in standard and capillary liquid chromatography
  • Multidimensional Chiral Liquid Chromatography
  • Chemometrics. Multivariate calibration, multivariate analysis and experimental design.
