System architecture

In order to optimize performance a dual hardware architecture is allowed. The system can operate on a single PC or in a networked environment. In the second case each module can be located in a different computer as in the following picture:

The different modules operate asynchronously. So it is possible to keep scanning a document collection while other document set is being read and a third collection is analysed in the AFCA module. In its current development level the process is not fully monotorised, and so the user must take care of assigning storage space, starting processes etc.
