This magister degree is the consequence of European Convergence Programmes launched within the European Union and endorsed by the Complutense University of Madrid. It is a programme rooted in past experience but open to new challenges and standards.
- First it is the continuity and enrichment of the graduate diploma and the specialty of Work Psychology launched in 1984 by the Faculty of Psychology at the Complutense University which stemmed from a previous syllabus on Industrial Psychology that existed as a diploma for decades at the graduate level.
- Second it is based on the Inter-university Doctoral Degree in Work and Organizational Psychology launched by the department of Social Psychology. It obtained the 2006-2007 Excellence Award of the Spanish Ministry of Education. This brand new program is open to Master Degree students and to Doctoral Degree students in the Faculty of Psychology at the Complutense University of Madrid. In the inter-university doctoral program participate the University of Barcelona and the University of Valencia, where the Social Psychology Dpt. acts as main coordinator
