Transculturalidad, mestizaje y globalización en el arte de la Época Contemporánea. Oriente-Occidente

En este proyecto se pretende hacer un estudio crítico del arte de la Época Contemporánea desde la perspectiva del multiculturalismo y de la “supuesta” pérdida de la hegemonía cultural de Europa y Estados Unidos en favor del llamado arte “de los márgenes”, es decir, del arte foráneo, prestando especial atención al arte asiático, pero también al arte de otras regiones del mundo y al arte marginal y de las minorías culturales insertas en los grandes centros de irradiación artística.

Transculturality, hybridations and globalization in Contemporary Art. East-West.

The Aim of this project is to study Contempory Art from the perspective of multiculturalism and the supposed lost of cultural hegemony of Europe and the United States in favour of the so called: “marginal art”. The project will relate to the “foreign” art, paying special attention to the art of East Asia, but also to that of other regions of the world and of the marginal art made by the minorities inside the big centres of artistic irradiation.
