Graphic buttons with PGPLOT


With the aim of creating interactive FORTRAN programs using graphic buttons, we have written a package of subroutines called BUTTON to facilitate this type of user interface. This library requires PGPLOT version 5.1.0 or above.

A reduced version of BUTTON in C is also available here.

This software is a part of the thesis work of N. Cardiel, developed under the supervision of J. Gorgas, at the Departamento de Astrofísica of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Many programs of the astronomical reduction package REDUCEME have been built using this facility.

This document is intended to be an user description of the library, giving some guidelines to the reader who wants to extend their capabilities, with the inclusion of own external routines.
The current version has been tested in the following varieties of UNIX: Linux, Sun Solaris and Digital Unix.
