IAU Circular 8010
(November 6, 2002) announced the discovery C/2002 V1 by
NEAT (Near-Earth Asteroid Tracking) of a 16th magnitude comet.
The preliminary orbit (MPEC V31,
November 7, 2002) indicates that this comet will pass very close to the Sun on February 18, 2003.
The perihelion distance is about 0.1 AU.
