In the case of HD, HIP and GJ-Gl names, you must
write the number of the star. If the star is called
by other name (actually variable name), you can
write it in the field 'OTHER NAME'. It is not needed
capital letters, but you must respect spaces.
Radial velocities are compilated from the latest values
given in the literature, and some of then have been
meassured by us.
We have used proper motion given by the
TYCHO-2 Catalogue
and
Hipparcos Catalogue. Several of the stars have not been observed by
Hipparcos and we have obtain their proper motion from
Positions and Proper Motions - North
Galactic Velocity messured in a right-handed reference system, with
W pointing towards the north galactic pole, U towards the galactic
center and V in the direction of rotation.
Main criteria for study moving groups given by Olin Eggen are Peculiar Velocity and Radial Velocity. Both of them are given in the results for moving groups with known convergent point (Local Association, Hyades , Ursa Major and IC 2391).
