Breve biografía profesional:
Doctora en Ciencias Geológicas por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 1978. Catedrática del Dpto. de Cristalografía y Mineralogía de la Facultad de Geológicas de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid desde 1999. Su actividad profesional ha estado siempre ligada a la docencia y la investigación en las áreas de Mineralogía de arcillas y yacimientos de Minerales Industriales. Es autor de más de 200 publicaciones, entre libros, artículos en revistas, ponencias en congresos. La mitad de las cuales se han realizado en el ámbito internacional. Las Tesis dirigidas son: 1990 D. Fco. Javier Luque, 1994 D. José Fernandez Barrenechea, 1997 Dª Juliana Parra, 1997 D. Jacinto Alonso Azcarate, 2004 D. Iván Blanco, 2005 Dª Elena Crespo y en 2011 Dª: Beatriz González Corrochano. Así mismo he dirigido 8 trabajos entre Tesinas de licenciatura y Diplomas de estudios avanzados. En todos se obtuvo la máxima calificación. Ha participado en más de 18 proyectos competitivos, habiendo sido investigadora responsable en 4. Entre otros cargos que he ocupado, he sido la Coordinadora del curso universitario (COU). Materia Geología. (1986 a 1989). En la Sociedad Española de Arcillas he ocupado el cargo de Tesorera, Vicepresidenta y vocal en diversos periodos. En la Sociedad Española de Mineralogía he sido Vicepresidenta, secretaria y vocal en varios periodos. Vocal del comité de redacción de la Revista MACLA de (2004-2008). Vocal de la Ponencia de Ciencias de la Tierra y del Espacio, Agencia Nacional de Evaluación y Prospectiva, M. Educación y Ciencia, (1998-2000). Miembro de la comisión evaluadora del panel de Ciencias de la Tierra. UPV(Universidad del País Vasco) 1998-2000. Miembrode la Ponencia del programa general del con cocimiento (PGC). 1999. Miembrodel programa “Asesorías Académicas Personalizadas” de la Facultad de Ciencias Geológicas. (2003-2006), Miembrode la comisión evaluadora del panel de Ciencias de la Tierra. Plan Nacional (MEC) 2007. Miembrodel Comité Asesor del Programa Academia. (Evaluación de la calidad y acreditación) (ANECA). 2007. Secretaria del Comité de Evaluación de ciencias experimentales Programa de Evaluación del Profesorado para la contratación (PEP), rama de conocimiento Geología 2009-2012. Presidenta del Comité de Evaluación de ciencias experimentales Programa de Evaluación del Profesorado para la contratación (PEP) 2012.
